About Me

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. My love for media production began early in life as my father is an audio engineer and musician. Adolescence was filled with playing drums in bands and getting involved with music recording, commercial production work, and journalism. For my undergraduate degree, I went to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where I received my degree in film and television production. I promptly moved out to Los Angeles, California in 2008 where I started working at DreamWorks Animation on feature animated films. At DreamWorks I had the pleasure of working on the following films: Monsters vs Aliens, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, Puss in Boots, Turbo, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I learned about becoming an adult in a media production career at DreamWorks. In 2014 I decided to spend time focusing on my childhood passion and dream of a life in music. I took 2 years away from animation to focus on my musical endeavors with my band The Mosaics (themosaicsband.com), formerly named Town in the City. We went on tour, recorded a bunch of music, and I joined 3 other musical projects in that time. I sold drums during the day to help keep the lights on, learning more about drums than I ever expected as a once wide eyed and excited 13 year old. I returned to animation in 2016 when an opportunity arose at Disney Television Animation working in production management on Big Hero 6: The Series. I am recently finished my Masters in Education - Online Teaching and Learning degree from  California State University East Bay so I can begin to share my lifelong passion and experience in media production with coming generations of media producers and consumers.

I am currently living in Davis, CA with my wife and 2 dogs in a cute one bedroom apartment. We hike and camp, play sports, attend concerts, cook, talk, and more.

Please feel free to contact me through the "Contact Me" section below. I am very interested in others artistic process and would love to start a dialogue with the intent of better understanding the creative process as a need to reflect or comment on the human condition.

Thanks for visiting! Come back soon :)
